1. What do I need to do to get ready for the installation?

Our installation does not include the removal of plants, irrigation, or anything else that may be in the way of the water feature set. The ground is to be completely clear and ready for digging.

You will also need an electrical outlet within 8-10 feet of the pond set.

2. My pond is losing water, do I have a leak?

Water loss is a natural and expected process for all water features. In the Arizona heat, 2-3 inches of water loss per day is not out of the ordinary. If water loss is extensive (full loss of water within a day), a leak can be checked for by lifting up the liner to see if the soil beneath is saturated.

3. My fountain isn’t running.

First, check to see if you have power to the pump. To check for power you can plug in any electrical product to see if it will turn on. If not, the GFI may be tripped, if so, you will need to reset it.

If you do have power and the pump still is not working, it is warranted by CBW and you can call to see if your warranty is still active. However, labor and services are not covered by the pump’s warranty and a $75.00/hr. service call (including travel time) will be assessed to exchange the pump.

4. What can I do to prevent/treat algae?

If algae becomes a problem one can treat it with chlorine tablets, bleach or a Pond Additive that is pet friendly, which can be found for sale at Creative Boulder Works.

5. Does it hurt the pump to turn it off and on?

Your pump is meant to be ran non-stop. However, it will not limit its lifespan if it is turned off and on, on a daily basis. You will want to make certain that you do not let your pond run dry, as this will burn up the pump.

6. How long will the pump last?

Average pump lifespan is approximately 3 years.
